NEW YEAR CEILIDH

Andrew Butchart, Ceilidh, Jan 2007

I hope most of you were there but for any who weren`t I can report that it was, once again, a great success. Tickets sold out well before the event and Bromham Village Hall was bursting at the seams. The familiar team of George as MC and Peter Scatterty playing the music worked its usual magic and everybody obviously had a wonderful evening. The spread of food was magnificent and not all that much was left over. We even had one or two people asking if they could get tickets for next year`s Ceilidh yet!

DEMONSTRATIONS

Burns Night 25th January:
A great celebration of Burns Night was held at the Lawson Park Indoor Bowling Club on Thursday 25th January and was attended by approximately 120 people. George hosted the evening which started with the traditional piping and addressing of the haggis, followed by the eating thereof. The rest of the evening was taken up by dancing, largely by the guests but with a few brief displays by the demo team. The floor available for dancing was not exactly ideal and limited in space, but this was no dampener on the huge enjoyment of all those who joined in, the highlight being a hilarious Eightsome Reel

CAMBRIDGE DAY SCHOOL

This will take place on Saturday 17th February at the Netherhall Lower School, Gunhild Way, Cambridge. The morning will be for musicians and the afternoon for dancers and there will be an evening dance. If you are interested I have more details.

RSCDS SUMMER SCHOOL

This will be held from 22nd July to 19th August in St. Salvator`s Hall, North Street, St. Andrews. I have an application form with class details for anyone who is interested.

STEP DANCE CLASSES
