BALL REPORT

Annual Ball 2007

Although our numbers were a little down this year the ball was just as great an event as always. In fact it was rather special. For anyone who doesn`t already know, this year is the 35th anniversary of our branch and to celebrate it we had a magnificent cake, baked by Philip, and bubbly all round served during the raffle draw. The cake was ceremonially cut earlier by four of our current and previous Chairmen (apologies to Margaret if she minds!).

Annual Ball 2007

All of our visitors seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly and, as far as I know, there were no complaints unless anyone feels aggrieved at not getting into the picture!

As I mentioned in the last newsletter Nigel, our present chairman, is standing down after this AGM. At present we have one nomination for a new chairman and, as he is already a committee member, this leaves us with one fewer ordinary members. Anyone who would be willing to join us would be most welcome. The time it takes is minimal and the duties are very light!
